Pharmacist

We are looking for an Pharmacist based in Sharjah.

 

Key Responsibilities

·      Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately in accordance with physician prescriptions and UAE healthcare regulations.

·      Review prescriptions to verify dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, and patient safety.

·      Provide professional counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, storage, and potential interactions.

·      Monitor patient medication therapy and provide recommendations to optimise treatment outcomes.

·      Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical care.

·      Maintain accurate pharmacy records, prescription documentation, and patient medication histories.

·      Manage pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels while monitoring medication expiry dates and storage conditions.

·      Order medications and coordinate with suppliers to maintain inventory availability.

·      Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) regulations, pharmacy legislation, and company policies.

·      Implement and maintain medication safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.

·      Handle controlled medications in accordance with regulatory requirements.

·      Respond to patient enquiries and provide healthcare advice on minor ailments, wellness products, and preventative healthcare.

·      Participate in health promotion campaigns, patient education initiatives, and continuous professional development activities.

·      Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from a recognised institution.

·      Valid MOH Licence, MOH Eligibility Letter, or eligibility to obtain MOH licensure to practise in Sharjah.

·      Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist, preferably within a hospital, clinic, or retail pharmacy.

·      Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, pharmaceutical regulations, and patient counselling.

·      Excellent understanding of medication safety, drug interactions, and clinical best practices.

·      Experience using pharmacy management systems and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach.

·      Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

·      High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

·      Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.

·      Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
