Job Description
We are looking for an Clinical Nurse based in Qatar.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care in accordance with clinical guidelines and organisational policies.
· Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualised nursing care plans.
· Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and treatment responses, escalating concerns to physicians when required.
· Administer medications, intravenous therapies, injections, wound care, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
· Assist physicians during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and medical interventions.
· Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
· Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication management, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices.
· Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols, patient safety standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
· Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing immediate clinical care when required.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
· Supervise and support junior nursing staff, healthcare assistants, and students where appropriate.
· Participate in clinical audits, continuing professional development, and quality improvement programmes.
· Maintain medical equipment, clinical supplies, and treatment areas to ensure operational readiness.
· Ensure compliance with Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) regulations, hospital policies, and international nursing standards.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing) or an equivalent recognised nursing qualification.
· Valid Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP)/Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) Nursing Licence, or eligibility to obtain licensure in Qatar.
· Minimum 2–5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably within a hospital or specialised healthcare environment.
· Strong knowledge of patient assessment, medication administration, clinical procedures, and evidence-based nursing practice.
· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are advantageous depending on the specialty.
· Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
· Excellent understanding of infection prevention, patient safety, and healthcare quality standards.
· Strong clinical judgement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
· Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
· High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
· Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
· Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
