Teacher

We are looking for a Teacher based in Sharjah.

Key Responsibilities

·      Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.

·      Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes student engagement and academic success.

·      Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and implementing strategies to support individual learning needs.

·      Develop lesson plans, teaching resources, and classroom activities that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

·      Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, behaviour, and academic performance.

·      Implement effective classroom management strategies that encourage positive behaviour and mutual respect.

·      Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, wellbeing, and areas for improvement.

·      Collaborate with colleagues, department heads, and school leadership to support curriculum planning and school improvement initiatives.

·      Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development programmes.

·      Support students' personal, emotional, and social development while promoting safeguarding and child protection practices.

·      Integrate educational technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning outcomes.

·      Ensure compliance with school policies, SPEA (Sharjah Private Education Authority) regulations, and safeguarding requirements.

·      Contribute positively to the school's vision, values, and commitment to academic excellence.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area.

·      Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., teaching licence, or equivalent).

·      Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably within an international or UAE school.

·      Experience teaching British, American, IB, CBSE, or other internationally recognised curricula is highly desirable.

·      Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, classroom management, lesson delivery, and student assessment.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

·      Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office and educational technology platforms such as Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, or learning management systems.

·      Commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and continuous professional development.

·      Ability to work effectively within a multicultural and collaborative environment.

·      Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.

·      Familiarity with SPEA regulations and UAE educational standards is desirable.
