Job Description
We are looking for a Teacher based in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
· Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning and student engagement.
· Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies to support individual learning needs.
· Develop lesson plans, learning materials, and classroom activities that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
· Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, behaviour, and academic progress.
· Establish effective classroom management strategies that encourage positive behaviour and mutual respect.
· Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievement, wellbeing, and areas for development.
· Collaborate with colleagues, department leaders, and school management to support curriculum planning and continuous school improvement.
· Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development programmes.
· Support students' personal, emotional, and social development while promoting safeguarding and child protection practices.
· Integrate educational technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.
· Ensure compliance with school policies, ADEK regulations, and safeguarding requirements.
· Contribute positively to the school's culture, values, and academic excellence.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
· Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., teaching licence, or equivalent).
· Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably within an international school environment.
· Experience teaching British, American, IB, or other internationally recognised curricula is highly desirable.
· Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, lesson delivery, classroom management, and student assessment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
· Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and educational technology platforms such as Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, or learning management systems.
· Commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and continuous professional development.
· Ability to work effectively within a multicultural and collaborative environment.
· Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages, including Arabic, are an advantage.
· Familiarity with ADEK regulations and UAE educational standards is desirable.
