Dentist

We are looking for a Dentist based in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

·      Examine patients to assess oral health and diagnose dental conditions, diseases, and abnormalities.

·      Develop personalised treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical assessments.

·      Perform a wide range of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, crowns, bridges, veneers, and preventative care.

·      Conduct routine dental examinations, oral cancer screenings, and preventive treatments.

·      Administer local anaesthesia and pain management in accordance with clinical guidelines.

·      Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options to promote long-term dental health.

·      Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

·      Interpret dental X-rays and diagnostic imaging to support clinical decision-making.

·      Collaborate with dental specialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care when required.

·      Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention, sterilisation, and clinical safety protocols.

·      Manage dental materials, instruments, and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment.

·      Stay up to date with advancements in dentistry through continuous professional development and training.

·      Ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi regulations, healthcare standards, and ethical guidelines.

·      Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor's degree in Dental Surgery (BDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from a recognised institution.

·      Valid Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi Dentist Licence or DOH Eligibility Letter (or eligibility to obtain one).

·      Minimum 2-5 years of clinical experience as a practising Dentist.

·      Strong knowledge of general dentistry, restorative procedures, preventive care, and oral health management.

·      Experience using digital dental imaging systems, radiography, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

·      Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.

·      Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.

·      Ability to build trust and maintain long-term relationships with patients.

·      High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

·      Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

·      Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.

·      Fluent in English; Arabic or additional languages are an advantage.

·      Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
