Banking Officer

We are looking for an Banking Officer based in Sharjah.

 

Key Responsibilities

·      Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting clients with banking products, services, and account-related enquiries.

·      Process daily banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, remittances, and account maintenance requests.

·      Open and maintain customer accounts while ensuring all Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements are met.

·      Promote and cross-sell banking products and services, including savings accounts, current accounts, loans, credit cards, insurance, and investment solutions.

·      Verify customer documentation and ensure compliance with UAE Central Bank regulations and internal banking policies.

·      Resolve customer enquiries, complaints, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.

·      Maintain accurate customer records and update core banking systems with relevant information.

·      Monitor transactions for unusual activity and escalate potential fraud or compliance concerns.

·      Support branch operational activities, cash handling, balancing, and reconciliation processes.

·      Collaborate with relationship managers and internal departments to deliver seamless banking services.

·      Prepare reports, documentation, and operational records as required.

·      Ensure confidentiality of customer information and maintain the highest standards of data security.

·      Stay informed about banking products, financial regulations, and industry developments.

·      Perform additional duties as assigned to support branch operations and business objectives.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.

·      Minimum 2–4 years of experience in retail banking, branch operations, customer service, or financial services.

·      Strong understanding of banking operations, financial products, and customer relationship management.

·      Knowledge of UAE banking regulations, KYC, AML, and compliance requirements.

·      Experience using core banking systems and Microsoft Office applications.

·      Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

·      Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

·      High attention to detail with the ability to process financial transactions accurately.

·      Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·      Customer-focused with strong sales and cross-selling capabilities.

·      Professional, ethical, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.

·      Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
