Job Description

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager for a Global Digital Reality Solutions Company based in KSA.

 

Location – Johannesburg, South Africa (Hybrid Work Model)

Salary – Depending on Experience

 

Key Responsibilities


  • Drive revenue and margin growth across the Geomatics portfolio.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across government, mining, infrastructure, construction, enterprise, surveying, and geospatial sectors.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing and account growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, channel partners, distributors, and strategic stakeholders.
  • Present and demonstrate surveying, geomatics, and geospatial solutions to customers and partners.
  • Support tenders, major contracts, framework agreements, and strategic opportunities.
  • Develop and support dealer and distributor networks to improve market coverage and sales performance.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting through Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer requirements, and emerging opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Operations, Finance, Technical Support, and Supply Chain to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a trusted commercial and technical advisor to customers and support the Regional Manager in driving business performance.


Qualifications & Experience


Education


  • Diploma or Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, Survey Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Additional qualifications in Business Management, Sales, or Commercial Leadership would be advantageous.


Experience


  • 6–10+ years' experience in technical sales, business development, key account management, or commercial leadership.
  • Experience within surveying, geomatics, geospatial, mapping, mining technology, construction technology, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue, developing new business, and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Experience selling technical hardware, software, and integrated solutions.
  • Strong experience working with government, mining, infrastructure, enterprise, construction, or surveying clients.
  • Experience working with distributors, dealers, channel partners, or technology solution providers is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with surveying or geospatial products would be advantageous.


Technical & Commercial Skills


  • Strong understanding of surveying, geomatics, geospatial, and positioning technologies.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into commercial solutions.
  • Excellent business development, negotiation, account management, and closing skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness including forecasting, pricing, margins, and revenue planning.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and competitor activity.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout South Africa and the broader Southern Africa region.


About the Role


This is a critical leadership position within a business where the Geomatics portfolio represents a significant share of revenue. The role requires a commercially driven professional who can engage effectively with surveyors, mining companies, government entities, enterprise clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding market presence, strengthening customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and supporting the long-term growth strategy of the Southern Africa region.
