We are looking for a Senior Strategic Planning Engineer for a Global Construction Consulting Firm based in Riyadh.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Urban Planning from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in urban infrastructure planning, ideally across large-scale national or international projects.
• Strong expertise in master planning for water and wastewater systems within urban environments.
• Proven experience in feasibility studies, environmental assessments, and infrastructure planning.
• In-depth understanding of multidisciplinary planning interfaces and project interdependencies.
• Experience in project planning, budgeting, and prioritization methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data modelling and performance forecasting.
• Experience working on international projects, with Middle East / KSA exposure preferred.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and design of water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems within urban developments.
• Conduct feasibility studies assessing environmental, economic, and technical viability of urban infrastructure projects.
• Analyse existing infrastructure, population growth, and urban demands to develop sustainable engineering solutions.
• Evaluate environmental impact, including pollution, resource usage, and sustainability considerations, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Develop masterplans for wet infrastructure systems, ensuring integration with transport, utilities, and broader urban planning frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities to secure necessary approvals and permits.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders including planners, architects, developers, and government entities.
• Provide technical input and support during project implementation to ensure alignment with planning objectives.
• Utilize data analysis and modelling tools to forecast infrastructure performance and support decision-making.
• Contribute to project planning, budgeting forecasts, and prioritization strategies.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, environmental, and occupational health standards.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Planning Engineer who will play a critical role in the planning, design, and delivery of large-scale urban infrastructure projects, with a focus on water supply, wastewater, and sustainable urban systems.
